Real estate projects worth ₹5,
The 39 private projects, spread over more than a dozen districts, will develop about 8,000 housing and commercial units.
These projects will be located in major cities including Lucknow, Varanasi, Agra, Noida, Prayagraj, Mathura, Moradabad, Badaun, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Bareilly and Jhansi.
The region has seen strong growth in recent years, driven by major infrastructure projects such as expressways, airports and industrial centers that support planned urban expansion.
The new projects have been approved by the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), which ensures timely approvals, strict monitoring, transparency and protection of interests of home buyers.
UP RERA approves the projects after ensuring compliance with regulatory norms. Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said the authority is committed to transparent and well-organized real estate development while promoting balanced urban development.
A senior official said the steady flow of investments reflects the impact of the Yogi Adityanath government’s reform-oriented policies, backed by strong regulatory oversight. Simplified approvals and transparent processes have further enhanced investor confidence.
The projects are also expected to increase demand for construction materials, labour, engineering, transportation and allied sectors, supporting local economies.
While private companies are focusing on housing for the middle class, the state government is expanding affordable housing for the lower income group. To ensure comprehensive housing coverage, all Scheduled Tribes have recently been included under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana-Rural.
Earlier, only select Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities were covered. A recent government order directed districts to speed up implementation and cover all eligible beneficiaries.
The state hopes the move will strengthen its position among leaders in providing housing for the tribal population.
