ONGC Q4 Results: Net Profit RI
State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) on Tuesday reported 3 per cent growth in March quarter profit at ₹6,649.97 crore, as higher oil and gas prices helped offset the decline in production.
According to a stock exchange filing by the company, it reported a net profit of ₹6,649.97 crore in January-March – the fourth quarter of financial year 2025-26 – compared to a profit of ₹6,448.28 crore in the same period last year and ₹8,371.85 crore in the previous three months.
Revenue from operations increased marginally to ₹35,928.18 crore during the quarter from ₹34,982.23 crore in Q4FY25.
For the full fiscal year, ONGC reported a net profit of ₹32,894.02 crore, down 7.6 per cent from ₹35,610.32 crore for fiscal 2024-25.
ONGC wrote off ₹4,876.75 crore in exploration well costs during the quarter under review as no commercial hydrocarbon discoveries were made from the wells drilled. This compares with a write-off of ₹4,173.04-crore in the same quarter last year.
For the full year, exploratory well costs stood at ₹8,235.98 crore, compared with ₹7,479.96 crore a year earlier.
ONGC’s board of directors recommended a final dividend of Rs 1 per share for the financial year 2025-26.
