Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday said there is no shortage of domestic or commercial LPG in the national capital and urged Delhiites to “not panic”.

He called upon people not to crowd at gas agencies and LPG centres.

“Avoid going to LPG warehouses. The administration is making efforts to ensure uninterrupted LPG supply to the people. Strict action will be taken against violators,” Gupta said.

Sharing the latest government data, the Chief Minister said more than 1,11,504 bookings were recorded on April 3, while three oil marketing companies delivered 1,26,379 cylinders, clearing the pending backlog.

He said the average delivery time of domestic LPG cylinders in Delhi has now been reduced to four days, ensuring timely, reliable doorstep service to consumers.

Officials of the Delhi government’s Food, Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said supply has exceeded demand in recent days.

The Chief Minister said Delhi Police raided 22 locations across the city to bust the racket, registering an FIR at North Rohini police station, where six illegally stored cylinders were found.

He said a control room with a dedicated number (011-23379836) has been set up and complaints are being closely monitored to prevent black marketing and hoarding.
