Yadadri Collector reaches out to former DSP Nalini on CM’s instructions
Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri District Collector Hanumanth Rao with Former DSP Nalini.
A day after former Deputy Superintendent of Police Nalini posted that she was suffering from a serious disease and the pain was shattering her body, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reached out to her asking the Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri District Collector Hanumanth Rao to visit her personally assuring all the government help covering her medical expenses.
Mr. Hanumanth Rao personally met Ms Nalini in Bhongir town where she is staying with her father and conveyed that the government is ready to extend all necessary support. He explained that any service-related issues pending would soon be resolved as per rules and regulations.
The Collector carried the CM’s personal message, assuring Ms Nalini that her concerns would be addressed without delay.
The meeting brought a sense of relief, but she politely declined the government’s offer to admit her to any hospital for treatment.
Mr. Hanumnath Rao later told reporters that Ms Nalini is now on Ayurvedic medication and did not take the offer for hospital admission. However, he said she could reach out to him anytime if she decides on hospital admission or treatment.
He said the Chief Minister also asked him to convey that her previous medical expenses would be reimbursed, but she said she did not spend much on her Ayurvedic and other traditional medicines on which she is depending now.
Ms. Nalini resigned as DSP at the peak of the Telangana movement in 2011 in support of the movement.
As soon as the Congress government took over in 2023, Mr. Revanth Reddy instructed the police to review her case and determine if it is possible to reinstate her in service.
However, Ms Nalini then declared that she had moved onto spiritual path and was into promotion of Indian spiritual and religious practices.
