Missing youths’ bodies recovered from Bhavanipuzha

The bodies of two youngsters from Tamil Nadu who had gone missing in the Bhavanipuzha in Attappady were recovered on Monday.

Bhoopathi Raj, 26, son of Pusamani from Thoothukudi and Pradeep Raj, 22, son of Paul Raj from Coimbatore had gone missing in the river on August 15.

A three-day search operation was carried out by the police and Fire and Rescue Services personnel. Despite their efforts, the bodies were eventually found washed ashore at Cheerakadavu in Attappady.

They had been swept away by the currents while bathing in the river along with friends.
