The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Executive Committee meeting resolved to take the BC reservations issue to the people to expose the BJP and BRS while focussing on winning the local body elections as well as the Jubilee Hills Bypoll.

The Meeting Held At Gandhi Bhavan under the Chairmanship of TPCC Kumar Goud OTHER INVITEES.

Ms. Natarajan said the Kamareddy meeting on September 15 should send a strong signal to the people about the strength of the Congress.

Mr. Vikramarka said doors should be opened to Congress leaders who left the party due to various reasons over the years sending a positive signal. Mr. Goud said the BRS was bound to disappear from the Telangana political scene by next elections.

The meeting felt the 22-month rule of CM Revanth Reddy, including distribution of fine rice, ration cards, Indiramma housing and fertilizer supply, should be highlighted at all levels. The Congress government, leaders said, has issued over 60,000 ration cards in Hyderabad alone.

On Indiramma housing, the government is expediting construction of 3,500 houses per constituency, with bills cleared on time.

The TPCC meeting also reviewed local body reservations, reiterating its commitment to 42% reservation and clarified that SC and ST reservations remain unaffected.

On the Kaleshwaram project, Congress leaders said now ‘even family members of those involved are admitting corruption’, and this would be taken to the people.

The meeting also highlighted that Congress governments in the past had brought Godavari Phase-I, Krishna and Manjeera waters, and now the current government is working on Godavari Phase-II.

Speaking at a media interaction later, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar along with Government Whip Aadi Srinivas, SAT Chairman Shiva Sena Reddy, Vice-Chairman Alam Khan and Youth Congress President Shiva Charan Reddy, said the meeting has resolved to organise programmes in support of Rahul Gandhi in connection with the Jubilee Hills by-election and alleged vote theft issues.

A grand felicitation meeting will be held on September 15 in Kamareddy to mark one year of Mr. Mahesh Kumar Goud’s leadership as TPCC chief. On the same occasion, the government’s initiatives on BC declaration and reservations will be highlighted.
