Biker killed after lorry rams his two-wheeler at Chevella

A 38-year-old man was killed in a road accident on the Chevella-Shadnagar road on Sunday afternoon. The victim was identified as Vadde Mallesh of Nakkalapalli village.

The accident took place around 3.30 p.m. opposite Farah Institute of Technology, also known as Farah College.

According to the Chevella police, Mallesh was riding a two-wheeler when a speeding container lorry (bearing No. ‘NL 01 AB 0793’) rammed his motorcycle from the rear. He suffered fatal head injuries and died on the spot.

Police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Government Hospital, Chevella, for post-mortem. The lorry involved in the accident has been identified, and a case has been registered.

Police have advised commuters to exercise caution, particularly when travelling near heavy vehicles, and maintain safe distance to avoid collisions.
