Telangana government plans to establish two dry ports to boost export connectivity from the landlocked State.
One of them will facilitate the cargo movement through the Mumbai port, on the west coast, and the other shipments through ports in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh (east coast), Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said at BNI Vantage GoNat 2025 MSME expo and seminar opening here on Saturday.
He spoke of the plans while reaffirming Telangana government’s commitment to empower micro, small and medium enterprises. The Minister also listed measures initiated in this direction, including an exclusive MSME Policy.
AI Innovation Hub
Stressing MSMEs vital role in generating employment and providing livelihoods to several lakh people, Mr. Sridhar Babu said the government will launch an AI Innovation Hub in two months. The move will enable MSMEs to integrate Artificial Intelligence into their operations.
“While the government creates platforms and opportunities, entrepreneurs must embrace networking to grow. Platforms like BNI play a crucial role in that journey,” a release on his speech said.
BNI Hyderabad said this is the 5th edition of GoNat, a two-day event, and more than 200 MSMEs are showcasing products and services.
