Belagavi hospital launches ambulance service

Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and Medical Research Centre of KLE Society on Wednesday launched Red Ambulance service in Belagavi to ferry patients over long distances.

Medical Director of the hospital Colonel M. Dayanand flagged off the ambulance service on the hospital premises.

He said that the hospital has tied up with Red Ambulance to provide the service to the people of North Karnataka, South Maharashtra and Goa. It will focus on serving the needy during the golden hour.

“We are excited to provide ambulance services with a skilled and trained team. Arrangements are being made to transport patients in just one hour with quality service. The helpline is 1099,” he said.

Vice-president of Red Health Prashant Agarwal said that they have provided over 5,000 ambulances to 109 hospitals in the country in the last nine years.

Director of Clinical Services Madhav Prabhu, Medical Superintendent Arif Maldara, Human Resources Officer Kavya Patil and others were present.
