Anil Kumar Singhal returns as TTD Executive Officer

In a major administrative reshuffle on Monday, the State government appointed senior IAS officer Anil Kumar Singhal as the new Executive Officer (EO) of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
Mr. Singhal, who already holds the record for serving the institution the longest as its Executive Officer, made history by becoming the first IAS officer to assume this prestigious post for a second term.
He previously served as TTD EO from May 6, 2017, to October 4, 2020—a tenure remembered for several landmark initiatives. He is credited with introducing the SriVani Darshan format, a major reform in darshan management, and played a pivotal role in executing the multi-crore Garuda Varadhi, now known as the Srinivasa Sethu flyover—a project that transformed Tirupati’s urban landscape.
The current incumbent, J. Shyamala Rao, has been posted as Principal Secretary (Political) in the General Administration Department.
Mr. Singhal’s return is particularly significant as it comes at a time when Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is determined to enhance the institution’s image and improve services for pilgrims.
